Got it done on Saturday and it's been 4 days without glasses. I have 20/20 vision with both eyes but my left eye is still a little under weather. Doc said that there's still some swelling in both eye... but it's normal. Will be goin back to see him next Wed. Vision is good... except for night as the light from the cars can be very distracting. It'll take awhile before that goes away.
The whole procedure was fast. Went for a pre-op check up the Saturday (9 Dec) before and the following Saturday had the procedure done at 8.30am. It's not painful at all... but it's a weird feeling. Having your eyes numbed and stretched apart; then having something suctioned it up and then smelling the burnt odor (think this was the worst).... it's all just too freaky. There's no pain whatsoever... except for some achy stretchy feeling. But emotionally, knowing that something is pooking at your eye... it just gives me the creeps. Knowing what it feels like now, won't think twice about doing it again.
But it is the after effect that drives me crazy. No TV, no computer, no reading!!! Argh
NO CIVILIZATION!! I'm slowly coming back.... not with full force yet cos wouldn't want to stress these pretty eyes of mine. Will have to take things slow. A little at a time.... Thank goodness my cousin Elsie is here. To help out with Valerie, especially when I need to rest; and also to keep me company. Therefore, TV, computer and books can be chucked aside for awhile.Let's pray that my eyes will continue to recover and my vision will continue to improve. Atleast now I don't need to worry about Valerie grabbing my glasses or feeling nose ache when I have my glasses on for too long. And hey... can play pool now without constant adjustment of the glasses!! Hahahahaa...
Have to go rest now
