This is to show the legs.. and that it confirms that it's a baby girl!! ;oP Couldn't see anything else there, can you? Posted by Picasa

Baby's is shy after so many photo taking. Hahahahahaa....You can clearly see the distinction of ther palms, wrist and elbows. Posted by Picasa

Hope this is clearer. Baby's left arms are up, covering her eyes/ears. And the baby's right palm/fingers are kinda next to her eyes. Paul said that she seems to be making a gesture with her left fingers in this picture. What do u think? :O) Posted by Picasa

This is a side full view of the baby. From head to legs. Couldn't fit the toes in... hehehehe. As you can see the spine (white lines on the side) Posted by Picasa

Do you think it's a boy or girl?

It's A Girl Yeah... finally. After 5mths of waiting. Although it's not 100% but the specialist said it's 90% sure. I'm going on my shopping spree in 2 weeks, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

The following pictures are from the ultrasound this morning. Paul said, "The baby looks like a little alien!". It does, as we can only see the eye socket and the shape is kinda pointed upwards. Alien Haahhaahahahahhaaaahahaaahahahahaa........... Anyways, I hope that you are able to see the baby clearly. The pictures are all in upright position.

We could see the baby move, the legs were kicking at one point... and the arms were moving around too. We also saw her flexing her little palms. Too bad the ultrasound clinic seemed to be outdated, as they do not have a CD writer where we could save all the pictures. So, these pics are scanned from the printed copies. And they did not have a machine to capture the baby in 3D/4D mode. We're going to look for some clinics that do have that service and check to see the cost of it. If we do get that, you'll be able to get an even clearer picture of the baby.

Cheers Come on guys... let's celebrate and party!!

A weekend in San Diego

We were at San Diego the weekend after Paul's birthday. This trip seems more memorable than the one we had 5 years back. Although it was cloudy and cold; with occasional drizzle, I had a wonderful time.

Had to stop frequently for toilet breaks, was constantly hungry, can't go on crazy rides, have to be careful not to be knocked over by big crowds. These were the few pregnie stories I have.

We went to Sea World, Wild Animal and some other touristy spots like Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarters (downtown filled with fancy restaurants and pubs located in victorian buildings), Balboa Park (beautiful place with many, many museums) and La Jolla (famous beach and expensive residence)

Will be going to Las Vegas for another 3-day holiday... this time it'll be during the Thanksgiving period. And our main purpose is to shop, shop and eat. Hope I'll have enough energy... but I know I won't be buying much for myself, mainly for baby. Yet, we don't want to splurge on baby clothings as they grow out of it fast. Maybe will just buy a few for special occasions...

It'll be fun. Las Vegas has always been exciting.

Plenty of Energy... now at 5mths

It's amazing how our body changes so quickly. From being restless, tired, nauseating and just plain flat out only less than 2 mths ago, I'm now so full of energy that I don't know where to spent it!!

I'm already in my 5th month...although tummy is showing, but not very huge. And gladly enough, I don't feel fat and clumsy... yet. Now that I can feel the little one moving inside me... and kicking, it's so fun. The kick is not hard yet... just flutters here and there. Still... it's a miracle.

So life is great and exciting now... looking forward to this Thu to know the gender of baby. And then 4 more mths to delivery!!:)

What kind of parent will I be?

Thanks Celia for your encouragement and your confidence in me. Sadly Chicky Club didn't really help in improving my love for kids.... :( or prepare me to become a good parent.

When I start to think of it...It is such a daunting task. There are no hard and fast rules to bring up another human being. No books to tell me a particular action will lead to what consequence; or by preventing certain interactions will make my child a better person, or not. And knowing that my every move and word I say, will affect the future of this little human.

I was reading a Baby's magazine and this was what it said about my personality as a parent, according to my starsign Capricorn.

Mummy traits: Family is the center of your universe, and your children are your brightest stars. Your organizing skills will instill a strong work ethic in your little ones, while your loyalty and protectiveness will make them feel secure. You'll let your children pursue their wildest dreams and believe that the learning process should begin from the day babies are born.

Astro guidance: Your great expectations can make you overly strict with your kids; be sure you don't judge them by adult standards. If you hold back on the educational toys and engage their flights of fantasy, you'll help them appreciate life's simple pleasures.

Although I'm not a huge believer of horoscope, but the description is very accurate about me. I've acknowledged in the past that I don't click well with kids or enjoy their company (vice versa..for them too... hehehehe) was because of my expectations of them. I judge them by "adult standards". BINGO!! Therefore I'm unable to move to their level and speak their language.

And if the horoscope is indifferent to genders... then Paul's is quite similar to mine. :(

I know that the most important years are before the child turns 3-4.... and I can't remember anything before age 5-6. Amazingly, the guidance that I do remember came from my maternal grandma and I was already 7 when I stayed with her. I've yet to ask my parents how they managed to raise such a great kid.... O :-) ahahahahahaahahahaa......

Time for Babyplus education now....Will talk more about my childhood in another entry.

BabyPlus system. Does it really work?

I just tried out my new BabyPlus system today for the first time. And I think I felt the baby moving and kicking a little. Amazing....

I first read about BabyPlus from a book called SuperBaby. The book talks about the baby's brain development while it's still in the womb. The book also further recommends activities/nutrients that could help facilitate with the brain growth. The BabyPlus system was one of the recommendations. Whether it really works, I don't know... but I'm willing to try. Atleast I hope my baby will get a headstart in life.

You can read more about the BabyPlus system at www.babyplus.com

Halloween kids

It's such a treat to see kids coming up ur door, dressed so cutely and saying "Trick or Treat!"

We thought we were prepared with a big bag of cheap candies, but it wasn't enough. I had to take out my own candy stash and the last 3 kids, I had to give them Cheetos, small packs of cheese crackers.

We didn't really decorate cos Paul didn't wanted to waste money, but we have to put something outside to tell the children that there are sweets available here. So we bought a cheap $5 pumpkin (with face) light that we placed on the floor at the front door.

Hope the kids won't have too many decay teeth after this Halloween. I'm ready to dress mine next year!!
