It was really a fated find.
Was looking at this particular house for rent. We didn't call the agent, but decided to look around the house to see if we like it or not. We tried peeping through the window, went to the backyard and tried to have a glimpse from the patio door. To no avail... nothing to look at, but the backyard did look good with a patio roof... and there's a double door from the Master bedroom that leads to backyard.
Then we realise the house next door was for sale, and there was a truck parked outside the garage. So we thought "Why don't we go kaypoh next door and see if the person would let us take a look inside". As the outside of the houses looks the same, they might have the same floor plan. So, we trodded next door...
The owner of the house was doing some yard work at the back... and it looks pretty, with trees and a small patch of grass. He let us in... and TADA!!! We have rented the house.
It's 1600sq ft for $900 a month. Looks really new as the house was newly tiled and carpeted. But sadly, this house is still smaller than my current one... smaller bedrooms and kitchen. But it has an extra room (a den, which means no door cos it's not a bedroom) and covered patio.
The only thing that i dun fancy about this house is that all floors are tiles.. except for bedrooms. Therefore, even the living room is tiled... which will be cold during the winter. Will have to wear shoes in the house. And when it's dirty, it'll be more obvious. But it's alright, I won't be cleaning that...hehehehehe... my dearest hubby will have the honour.
Anyways, will be moving next week. Furnitures will be moved on 29 Dec. Friends will be coming to help out with the rest of the stuff on 30 Dec. So there goes our 2 long weekends. Paul have a 4-day holiday during the Xmas and New Year period. But we'll be busy packing and unpacking.
To think about it... it will be fun to start a new... get to rearrange everything over again. Keeping my fingers crossed that rubbish won't pile up again!!! Heheheheheehehe.....
Looking forward to the new house....
